Guide Istanbul - Your tour guide Mine Karahan

My name is Mine Karahan… I am an officially licensed professional tour guide. I would like to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with you about Istanbul, a truly splendid city of dreams. Here, I will try to explain the places to visit, Turkish culture and basic information with the hope to make your trip enjoyable.

I was born in a small town in the northwestern part of  Turkey.  I came to Istanbul for my university education and stayed there happily ever after! I studied Political Science and International Relations in an English medium university and had a M.A in European Union Studies. I lived in Spain about 1,5 years to study Spanish and traveled all over as a tour leader or backpack traveler. (51 countries and 350 cities so far). I love guiding as a profession and as a way of life.

I organize tours, transfers, blue cruises, hotel arrangements and special group tours via a travel agency. (Oasis Travel Co)

I also run walking tours in Istanbul which covers Byzantine Heritage, Ottoman Heritage, Muslim Heritage, Christian Heritage, Roman Heritage and Jewish Heritage in Istanbul. Special interest tours (business etc) and shopping tours are also available.
